Welcome to E.M. Heath Supermarket!
E.M. Heath Inc. took root in 1945 when Everett and Madeline Heath moved to Center Harbor, New Hampshire on the north shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. Starting out as a wide variety general store, Everett sold everything from shovels to seafood. This format led to Heath's gaining a well-earned reputation as the local "Dealer in Most Everything".
In 1963 Everett's oldest son, Bob joined the family business on a full-time basis and the growing company incorporated. In 1969 the Heaths changed their business model by constructing a new building as home to their first supermarket while expanding their hardware and clothing lines in the original store.
The next several decades saw many company changes as the Heath family of businesses grew to include another supermarket, two additional hardware stores, and a specialty gourmet store.
The 90`s saw some corporate consolidation as locations were either sold or closed. At this time, E.M. Heath, Inc. operates an ACE Hardware store and a full-line supermarket in the village of Center Harbor, JoJo`s Country Store in Moultonborough, The Golden Pond Country Store in Holderness and an ACE Hardware Store in Laconia. Additionally, the company is involved with limited property management.
Also during the 90`s some key employees were made stockholders giving them minority ownership in the business. Today those key employees run the day-to-day operations. Members of the Heath Family sit on the Board of Directors of the Corporation effectively overseeing the business.
Everett's spirit lives on in the business he founded as the company looks to serve the local area residents and frequent seasonal vacationers in a friendly, spirited way while still striving to maintain its small-town roots as the "Dealer in Most Everything".

Our Meat Department
Delicious meals start with fresh cuts of meat. At E.M. Heath Supermarket, whether you are grilling, baking, frying, or slow-cooking your meal you will find fresh-cut quality meats. We have Certified Angus Beef, and Smart Chicken products, as well as our fresh pork, lamb, veal, and chicken products. Try some of our in-store specialties like our beef pinwheels, store-made sausage, flavored beef patties, marinated steak tips, and our ready-to-cook specialties. We grind our hamburger fresh 3 times a day from fresh beef trimmings. Our staff will gladly custom-cut your steaks or roasts. For all your fresh-cut meat needs think E.M. Heath Supermarket.

Having 5 fresh fruits and vegetables a day is a key to a healthy lifestyle. At E.M. Heath Supermarket our produce is fresh and full of variety. We offer a variety from our local farming partners here in New Hampshire and supplement with fresh produce from around the world to give you the freshest product available during each season. We have a selection of organic-grown produce to offer for a healthier lifestyle.

Our Deli Department
Our variety of deli meats and cheeses are freshly sliced to ensure you are getting deli products sliced just the way you want them. We feature the following brands Boars Head, Dietz and Watson, Sara Lee, Cabot, Land O Lakes, and New England Traditions as well as a wide variety of specialty cheeses to please everyone's taste. Our Deli makes fresh lobster rolls, salads, sandwiches, and wraps daily. Need a quick meal? Try our rotisserie chicken or any of our ready-to-serve entrees. Just "heat and serve". Every Friday from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm "create your own pizza" at our Pizzarama. You choose the toppings, take it home, and bake. For special occasions remember our deli has lobsters, sandwich platters, and meat and cheese platters to fulfill all your needs.

Enjoy the aroma of our freshly baked peanut butter kiss cookies or our signature garlic provolone bread. Our bakery makes an assortment of fresh baked goods daily. Every day there is something to enjoy like our French bread, assorted pies, fruit and nut breads, muffins, cookies, and breads. Have a gathering or party? Special-order pastry platters and custom-decorated cakes for that special occasion. Whatever your needs are, we will meet them for you.

Senior Citizen Discount
E.M. Heath, Inc. offers a senior citizen discount to our valued customers every Thursday except when the store is closed due to a Holiday or any other reason. When this occurs, a notice will be posted of an alternate day to receive the discount. To qualify for a discount, you must be 60 years of age or older and ask for this discount when you check out.
